From where we had started
Al Boom Marine was founded in 1987 by Mr. Adel Al Sumait, a Kuwaiti national and Mr. Marc Armstrong, a British national. Both partners were educated in the West whilst spending their professional lives within the Arabian Gulf. As a result, Al Boom Marine has a management team empowered with the skills of western business environments and the inherent knowledge of local trading conditions required to master the market. They are very active in the business and are continuously looking for ways to improve the corporate image and general operations of the company.
The Al Boom Marine Group has evolved over the last 27 years from when it first opened its doors in Kuwait and has become one of the most successful retailers in the Arabian Gulf. Al Boom Marine started as a Distribution company selling Eye-wear, Apparel, Footwear, Equipment and Accessories of its popular Water- sports, Surf and Lifestyle brands across the GCC to major Sports and Optical Accounts. After distribution of Go Pro, the trend setting and most versatile Action Camera Brand, our customer list now includes top Electronic retail chains across the GCC. We currently have more than 220 active wholesale accounts. The wholesale business within UAE is serviced by our own fleet of delivery vehicles.
Retail
Al Boom Marine Retail division currently has 40 stores comprising of two different categories: Beyond The Beach, Multi-branded stores and Oakley, Rip Curl, Tommy Bahama, Canterbury, our Concept stores. These stores are currently operating in UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman with locations opening in Qatar & Saudi Arabia later this year.
