Emirates Cooperative Society (Co-Op) is an established homegrown brand and has over the years been recognized as the leading grocer in Dubai, UAE. Emirates Cooperative Society is a leading retail organization based in Dubai. It was established on 16th November 1994, in accordance with Co-operative Society Law No.13 of the year 1976. The Cooperative Society was unified under the U.A.E. Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs Ministerial decision no. 94/535 and registered under the Department of Economic Development, Dubai.
This cooperative retail movement was launched under the guidance of the Rulers’ of Dubai, with an overwhelming support of Emirati Nationals as shareholders with an invested capital of Dhs.40 million.
The key objective of forming this cooperative society that is congruently a semi-government entity was to provide best quality and services at reasonable prices to all shareholders and non-shareholders thus strengthening the social and economic status of the Nation.
Over the years Emirates Cooperative Society has grown to a group of 5,000 Emirati Shareholders and has built, 9 vast, well-stocked and accomplished hypermarkets, supermarkets and mini-marts spread across Dubai. The Cooperative society encounters over 3 million customer footfall year on year.
We are strategically located in areas where local Emirati population resides,we cater to these households and correspondingly cater to the Royal Palaces, Rulers Court, Ministries and Govt. Offices. We simultaneously supply bulk orders to well-established Hotels, Restaurants, Clubs (Dubai Racing Club, Al Wasl Club etc.), Schools, Corporate Offices, Charity Associations, Hospitals and Stables. We have recently introduced online shopping and upgraded our E-Commerce facilities for the new age consumers and suppliers.
We have a sprawling 96,000sq.ft. central warehousing and logistics facility based in Al Quoz, centrally located to cater to the online requests and branches across Dubai.
We are extremely proud of Dubai and its tremendous growth over the years.
