Assists crewmembers of sound, flash, and other target acquisition units in detecting sound or flash of enemy artillery: Assists crewmembers to emplace sound, flash, or other target acquisition equipment. 2. Plots sound or flash data on maps. 3. Assists personnel in operating searchlights. 4. Lays wire to establish field communications. 5. Cleans and lubricates vehicles and equipment.
