Script Supervisor Job Description

Observes filming of production, records scene details, such as position, facial expression, and coiffure of cast members, camera position in relation to cast, position of properties, and condition of costumes, and refers to previously prepared notes to ensure continuity of sequence during subsequent scenes. 3. Listens to dialog and informs cast of deviations from script. 4. Times length of scenes, using stopwatch. 5. Types and distributes script changes to cast and production personnel. 6. Keeps records, such as type of camera and lighting equipment used for each scene, and prepares daily activity and progress reports. 7. May take dictation. 8. May write synopsis of production for advertising or publicity purposes.
