Marks casting code on ingot with paint or chalk. 3. Examines mold and supporting plates for dirt, cracks, or breaks, and removes dirt and metal particles, using scraper, wire brush, and airhose. 4. Mixes mold wash according to formula, and coats mold, using spray gun; or signals OVERHEAD CRANE OPERATOR to dip mold in tar tank.
