Dye-Reel-Operator Helper Job Description
Work information, duties, and responsibilities of a dye-reel-operator helper are the following:
1. Assists DYE-REEL OPERATOR to bleach or dye cloth, performing any combination of following tasks: Mounts cloth rolls on brackets and feeds end of cloth through swing-folding attachment of machine that unwinds cloth into handtruck. 2. Hangs end of cloth over winding reel in dye beck and sews ends together to make continuous loop, using portable sewing machine. 3. Ravels connecting seams after rinsing and guides cloth over doffing reel into handtruck. 4. Turns valves to drain, rinse, and fill tanks with water. 5. Carries chemicals, such as dyes, bleaches, and scouring agents, from mixing room to dye house and pours chemicals into beck. 6. Conveys cloth between departments, using handtruck. 7. Performs other duties as described under HELPER Master Title.
