Company Profile: The Hyundai Motor Company is a South Korean multinational automotive maker headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. The company was established in 1967 and, together with its 32.8% owned subsidiary company, Kia Motors, collectively constitute the Hyundai Motor Group, which is the world's fifth biggest automaker based on yearly vehicle sales in 2012.[5][6][needs update] In 2008, Hyundai Motor (without Kia) was ranked as the eighth biggest automaker. On 4 November 2015, Hyundai declared Genesis Motors as a brand new luxury car brand.
