AHI Carrier, previously known as Air-conditioning & Heating International (AHI), became a joint venture company with Carrier on December 18th, 2008. The collaboration between Carrier and AHI started in December 1997 when they signed their first agreement for the distribution of Carrier products in Russia and all CIS countries, totaling 12 countries.
In 1999, Carrier and Toshiba Air-conditioning formed a joint venture, which resulted in the addition of Toshiba’s range of air-conditioning products to AHI Carrier’s distribution territories. Carrier expanded AHI’s distribution rights to include East and Central Africa (15 countries) in 2000 due to their early success. Since the formation of the AHI Carrier joint venture, additional countries have been added, encompassing the Middle East, Central and South Eastern Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, covering a total of 42 countries.
AHI Carrier employs a flexible and aggressive forward sales structure, consisting of sales offices and a dealer network. It centralizes sales support functions in its back office, located in Sharjah, U.A.E. This strategy focuses on economies of scale, allowing AHI Carrier to rapidly respond to sales opportunities while simultaneously building a competitive system for product specification, technical support, logistics coordination, finance, and M.I.S.
A critical factor contributing to AHI’s successful track record of profitable growth is its commitment to service, which will become increasingly vital in the future. AHI Carrier operates TOTALINE stores in Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East, with plans to add more stores in these regions. TOTALINE offers a comprehensive range of HVACR parts, consumables, and tools for residential and commercial applications.
Today, AHI Carrier distributes Carrier and Toshiba HVAC products in 63 and 50 countries, respectively, across four continents.
